Imagine this: You are standing on a 100 ft cliff as the sun goes down. You can hear the ocean roars. You can feel the wind in your face. The light is only getting sweeter by the minute. And rising into your field of view is this apex predator: her wings spread, her tail fanned. If she wants to, she can reach her maximum speed of 200 mph in no time. But for a moment your eyes meet. Silence. And then, she goes on.
