Sierra Monsoon

This image was taken at the beginning of the 2017 monsoon season at the Eastern Sierra Nevada as we were making our ways back to our camp site near Big Pine. There were so many thoughts going through my mind when I worked on this image. But I think they all boiled down to this concept of "timelessness" that I felt strongly when I was standing there at the foot the Sierra. I can only start to imagine the things that these peaks have witnessed throughout the millennia. Perhaps if we can see what they have seen we would realize that the more things change, the more they stay the same.
